Safety, Belonging, & Identity Affirmation in Student Learning & Well-Being Workshop Parent Resources
This week, we had the honour of welcoming Joel Jr Llaban, Director of DEIJ at International School Services, who delivered an extended parent workshop exploring how parents can intentionally support the belonging of their children in order to allow them to flourish in all aspects of school life and grow to become effective global citizens. Together we explored how individual and collective cultures inform our perspectives and how we can use our awareness to challenge inequity and build systems that can allow others to thrive in their spaces in the future.
We are incredibly grateful to the parents in attendance who were open, vulnerable and reflective throughout the session. Please find parent resources to inform discussions at home. Please look out for a future parent workshop run by members of the DEIB Steering Group in Term 3.
