Year 9 VEX Robotics Tournament

Year 9 VEX Robotics Tournament

Since returning from the half-term break, our Year 9 students have been hard at work engineering their own VEX robots. Using the full design process — from brainstorming and prototyping to testing and refining — each team set out to build a robot capable of completing a series of increasingly challenging tasks to score as many points as possible.

Collaboration was at the heart of every build. Students worked in teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, optimise their designs, and develop creative strategies for competition. Their commitment and teamwork were on full display during the final VEX Robotics Tournament, where each form group battled it out in a lively and good-spirited contest.

We are delighted to announce that a winning team emerged from every form, celebrating not only technical achievement but also resilience, innovation, and teamwork. Well done to all our Year 9 Roboticists on an exciting and inspiring competition!

The Technology Team at BSM is here to share info, tips, and tricks on the various platforms that we use in school. We also share information on how to help manage the many platforms your children may use at home, as well as highlight the latest developments in the technological world.
