BSM Sports Term 3 Basketball Finals wrapped up this past Saturday with four Lions teams advancing from the prelims in our most competitive season yet! Our Mixed U11, Girls U13, and Girls U15 teams lost in close matches in the semifinals. The Lions Girls U18 team won their semifinal match and took home the Silver Medal! Congrats to all of the students who competed this weekend and thank you to those who were able to support us on Saturday!

Father-Son Basketball Game

Over the years, the dads and their sons who are now Year 13 played against each other. This has been organised by our U18 Boys coach and BSM parent, Dwight Lago. The dads team is called the Marlins while the boys are called the Nemos. The record was 1-1, so they needed a final game before graduation to break the tie. The following details were shared by Coach Dwight.

On Sunday, 26 May, BSM held the championship Marlins versus Nemos match in the Main Hall! The Marlins won the first game 53-52 in a hard-fought battle with the caveat being that the Marlins were reinforced with younger BSM dads. We played a second friendly game, and the Nemos won with the help of two players from the U18 Girls team - Javea and Bea. It was a fun afternoon with the moms cheering on the players and a few other BSM parents watching!

We hope to continue this tradition with future U18 basketball players and their dads joining next year and in years to come. Thank you to all the dads who played, parents who supported, and BSM for hosting the championship game. A special thanks and congratulations to the graduating players!
