The BSM U18 Boys & Girls travelled to Malaysia to compete in the U18 FOBISIA Football Tournament hosted by Marlborough College. An exciting new competition and the first ever in an 11-aside format.

Both BSM Teams played fantastically well and found themselves at the top of the league in their respective groups after day 1. The BSM boys started off shaky with 2 draws however finished strong with 2 wins. The BSM girls were as convincing as ever, with 2 wins. This meant both teams reached the Semi-Finals of the Cup Competition.

The BSM girls played Shrewsbury in their semi-final, they pushed each other all the way to extra time and a penalty shootout where Shrewsbury came out on top. It was a tough loss to take which is always the case in a penalty shootout. Meanwhile, the BSM boys played their semi-final against Jerudong International School, another tight game that could have gone either way. Similar to the BSM girls, this game could not be decided in normal time and went to extra time and then a penalty shootout. With both teams scoring their first 4 penalties, it went to the final two kicks, BSM saw their final penalty saved and then Jerudong scored the winner to progress to the finals.

Two semi-final exits meant the BSM Teams had to pick themselves up quickly for a third-place game. They did just that, the BSM girls won another thrilling penalty shootout against Marlborough College Malaysia and the BSM boys saw off Dulwich College Singapore with a 4-1 win.

Congratulations to both teams for winning the Bronze medal! A huge effort from all players, coaches, and staff. A massive thank you to the travelling parents who showed amazing support!
