MAD Week Preparation Day

MAD Week Preparation Day

Last Thursday, 20 November, students in Years 7-10 took part in our inaugural MAD Week Preparation Day. This new addition to the school calendar was designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of the communities they will be working alongside during MAD Week in January.

The day began with a mass lesson in the Main Hall, where nearly 300 students explored the concept of ikigai. A key outcome of this session was understanding how MAD Week provides an opportunity to share stories that advocate for and amplify the voices of partner communities.

After this, students used systems-thinking tools and storytelling frameworks to learn more about the organisations, environments, and people they will be engaging with. They also began the initial stages of crafting the documentaries they will produce during MAD Week.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this inspiring and meaningful day possible.
