Disaster Relief - How you can help

Disaster Relief - How you can help

On 06 August, a devastating fire broke out in Tondo. 917 families, nearly 4,000 individuals, were forced to flee, losing all of their belongings and shelters.

BSM has already used some of our Disaster Relief funds to help in providing cooked meals, bedding, shelter and hygiene kits. However, the fire site has still not been cleared, and families now face the rainy season living and sleeping on rubble with little shelter or comfort. The conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, and deeply distressing.

Thank you to our generous BSM Families who have contributed to the Disaster Relief Fund. We received a donation of over Php 90,000. Our community's ongoing support allows us to continue to help those who are in need in times of crisis.

How You Can Help

Our Service Learning Partner, Upskills+ Foundation, has asked us for some specific support at this time to help those in greatest need.

  1. Donate water containers (see example to the right) – Please drop these off at the collection area near the Children’s Gate.
  2. Make a financial contribution through our  BSM Disaster Relief Fund. Please visit the Finance Office on Level 1 of the Main Building to donate via cash or bank transfer. Please state that this is for the 'Disaster Relief Fund'.

Your continued generosity will make a real difference to the lives of families facing unimaginable loss. Together, we can help them rebuild and move forward. You can watch a video about this appeal here.

Thank you for your compassion and support.
