Big Draw Week highlights & A Christmas Carol - The New Musical - TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

Last week, BSM held its annual Big Draw Week. This is an international art event, and this year’s theme was Drawing in Motion. We had a plethora of fun activities, in which students could express their creativity, throughout the school. Some of the highlights were: ‘Collective Memories’ involving weaving together on a large loom, ‘Make a Wish’ was inspired by the star festival invited students to write or draw a wish and add it to the installation, ‘Unified Hues’ where students painted abstract shapes on a collective canvas, and ‘Wear Together’ in which collaborative, wearable fashion designs were created. It was wonderful to see the students’ enthusiasm for these activities; during lunchtimes the CAC was a hive of activity!

The Big Draw also left a lasting impression on the Creative Arts Centre. Katribu, a collective of visiting local artists, painted the five pillars on level three with indigenous animals using patterns from different regions of the Philippines. Some of our Year 12 and 13 students also had the opportunity to contribute to the murals. Our Primary School students were also inspired to draw their own Filipino animals. The completed pillars and the final products from each of the student activities were unveiled at a well-attended closing ceremony on Friday afternoon. It was an unforgettable week, and now the countdown to the Big Draw 2025 begins!
