Whole School Drama
There’s plenty happening in Whole School Drama! Our Year 5 & 6 production cast is having a fantastic time developing their characters, learning songs, and refining their stage work. Meanwhile, Key Stage 3 students are looking forward to their upcoming Artist in Residency with the talented Laura Cabochan. A highly experienced theatre practitioner, Ms Cabochan will guide students in exploring solution-oriented theatre from 10-14 February.
Our graduating IBDP Theatre class is in the final stages of preparing their Collaborative Project, which will be presented in Bayanihan on 17-18 February. This assessment challenges students to create an original 10-minute piece of theatre that reflects their learning and artistic perspectives as performers, directors, creators, and designers. This is an invite-only event, with further details to be shared by Year 13 Theatre in the coming weeks.
We are also thrilled to reintroduce STUDIO DRAMA after many years. Studio performances provide an opportunity to showcase shorter and often more experimental theatre in an intimate setting. Year 12 IBDP Theatre will stage Forty Five Minutes by Anya Reiss in the Level 1 Behn Classroom. This dramatic comedy captures the chaos of students rushing to complete their UCAS applications before the deadline. Due to mature themes and language, the audience is limited to Year 10+ with parental guidance advised. Details on limited ticket availability will be announced soon.
