Something Rotten! JR. is a musical comedy about brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, who are trying to write a hit play in the 1590s but are overshadowed by the fame of William Shakespeare. A soothsayer tells them the future of theatre involves singing and dancing, inspiring them to write the world's first "musical". The show is a farce about their chaotic journey to create the world's first musical, a conflict with Shakespeare, and learning to stay true to themselves.

Something Rotten Jr. is a family-friendly production suitable for all ages. However, some scenes and humour may require parental guidance for younger viewers. The runtime is approximately 90 minutes long.

We invite you to join us from Monday-Thursday, 24–27 November 2025, at 03.00pm in Holst (CAC Level 2) for this term’s Vocal & Instrumental Programme Recitals, featuring our talented BSM musicians.

Wednesday, 26 November - Ukulele, Guitar, Violin, Piano
Thursday, 27 November - Piano & Voice

Across four recital days, students from Primary and Senior will share the progress they’ve made this term, performing pieces that showcase their growing confidence, skill, and musical expression. This celebration of learning highlights the joy of performing and the commitment of our young musicians and their coaches. Come and support our performers as they take the stage and share their music with the BSM community!

🎶Christmas Concert 2025

Join us in Bayanihan Hall for this year's BSM Christmas Concert on Thursday, 11 December! This will be a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together in celebration of music and the holiday season. Enjoy performances from our talented young musicians as our ensembles and choirs share their festive favourites. 🎶IGCSE & IBDP Music Recital

Earlier this term, our IGCSE and IBDP Music students showcased their creativity, musicianship, and confidence in their annual recital. The event featured solo and ensemble performances across a range of genres and instruments, highlighting the depth of musical talent within our music programme.

The recital also provided an opportunity for students to share their coursework pieces and develop portfolios in front of a live audience - an important milestone in their journey as reflective, expressive, and independent musicians.

Congratulations to all performers for their professionalism and artistry, and thank you to our supportive parents and staff for making it such a memorable afternoon of music-making.
