As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, the College Counselling Team would like to thank our students and families for their engagement, energy, and partnership throughout the year. We hope everyone enjoys a restful and restorative summer break.
Over the holidays, we encourage families to make use of the College Counselling resources available on our Future Pathways website, including guidance on university research, applications, timelines, and preparing for life beyond school.
For families travelling this summer, this can also be a great opportunity to visit universities in person. Even a short campus visit can help students get a better sense of location, facilities, student life, and whether a university feels like a good fit. For those considering the UK, many universities offer Open Days, campus tours, and subject-specific events, and these should usually be booked in advance. UCAS also has helpful guidance on making the most of university Open Days, including preparing questions, attending course talks, speaking with current students, and reflecting afterwards on what felt right.
