College Spotlight Family Workshops (Years 10-12)
Session #2 - Overview of the College Counselling Process and How to Help Your Child in Their Journey, Wednesday, 23 April, 08.30am
College Counselling (CC) at BSM offers a special service to its students and families. The CC Team provides individualised support and group instruction to ensure that each student identifies their right ‘fit’ post-secondary pathway. Parents may wonder what to expect at each year level and how they can support their child/ren throughout these three years. In this workshop, the CC Team will outline a plan of action so that parents will know how to support their child/ren. It is a very exciting time and we are here to help!
Session #3 - Financial Aspects of the Higher Education Journey, Wednesday, 30 April, 08.30am
University is a significant investment, and navigating the financial aspects of the application process can feel overwhelming. This session is designed to empower parents as they explore global university options. We'll highlight some university costs by country, explain key financial terms used in admissions, and explore how factors like residency and passport status may affect fees. We'll also look at some examples of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available around the world.
