Founders' Day Assembly, MAD Week, & Mock Exams

Founders' Day Assembly, MAD Week, & Mock Exams

Dear Families,

I hope you all had an enjoyable and rejuvenating Christmas holiday and are looking forward to the new year with a renewed sense of optimism.

It was wonderful to welcome back our students this week which culminated in our annual Founders’ Day. This important date in our calendar welcomed back many BSM alumni as well as acknowledging the outstanding contributions of our Senior Student Leadership Team (SSLT).

Founders' Day Assembly

Term 1 was filled with an array of enriching learning experiences and Term 2 promises to continue on that path, beginning next week with Make a Difference Week (MAD) from Monday, 15 January to Friday, 19 January for Years 7-10.

As you know, MAD Week replaced what was known as Service Learning Week and reflects our aim to develop positive global citizens committed to making a positive contribution to our world. Throughout the week, our students will be exposed to an array of authentic learning experiences, designed to take them out of their comfort zone and apply their learning in new contexts. We look forward to sharing more of their experiences in next week’s edition.

It is also an important time for our Year 11 and 13 students who began their Mock Exams yesterday which run through to 23 January. We wish them well.

Have a wonderful weekend.
