International Award students trekked up Mt Batulao

Dear Families,

This week, I would like to dedicate my space to our explorers. Last weekend, our International Award students trekked up Mt Batulao. Getting into nature and being ambitious with physical capabilities is something we want for all your children, and I share Mr Hunt's letter that went to the parents of the students who joined the trek. Why not encourage your child to get involved?

“Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to your children on completing the recent Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Adventurous Journey to Mt Batulao. Over two challenging days, they demonstrated exceptional perseverance, teamwork, and resilience as they navigated steep and uneven trails, managed the heat, and climbed to the summit after a demanding ascent.

This experience provided far more than physical challenge—it encouraged independence, collaboration, and problem-solving, while helping each participant grow in confidence and character. Their positive attitude and support for one another throughout the journey were truly inspiring, and they should be very proud of what they have achieved.

We are also deeply grateful for your continued support and encouragement in allowing your children to take part in such a meaningful and transformative experience.”
