Service Learning in Senior School

Service Learning in Senior School

Dear Families,

I was sharing with our teachers recently how strange it feels to already be entering SSA grades for some of our year groups—where has the time gone? At BSM, we are fortunate to be such a busy, experience-rich school, and time seems to pass quickly when we are engaged in so much meaningful activity. I imagine it feels the same at home, too, with the many moving parts involved in supporting your child/ren’s BSM journey.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at the MAD Week Launch last week. Our approach to Service Learning is distinctive: we place the emphasis on the learning itself, with the service becoming a powerful positive outcome. Through this, our students will gain deeper insights into the world around them and grapple with the challenges faced by both people and the environment.
