Team Agilas & Year 9 Chinese Dumpling Making

Team Agilas & Year 9 Chinese Dumpling Making

Dear Families,

Six students from BSM, known as Team AGILAS, will proudly represent the school at the F1 in Schools World Finals from 23-26 November at the Dhahran Expo in Saudi Arabia. This prestigious global competition challenges students to apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills by designing, manufacturing, and racing miniature Formula 1 cars.

Beyond the races, teams must create a brand identity, secure sponsorships, and showcase their projects through portfolios and presentations, demonstrating technical expertise, marketing strategies, and teamwork. Key judging criteria include car speed, innovative design, and the quality of presentations.

Year 9 Chinese Dumpling Making

The Year 9 students have been learning about food and recently, we had an activity focussed on making dumplings. We are honoured to invite one of our BSM Parents, Mrs. Huang, to teach the class how to make dumplings. This activity allowed students to not only learn the technique of dumpling making but also to gain a deeper understanding of the culture behind Chinese cuisine.
