Congratulations to Our Lumiere Research Scholar Essay Award Winners

We are delighted to congratulate a number of our students on their outstanding success in receiving scholarships for the Lumiere Research Scholar Essay Award Program. These awards recognise students’ academic potential, curiosity and commitment to developing their research skills at a high level.

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Tomas (Year 13) High Honors Award, with a $1,250 scholarship to join any Lumiere Research Scholar Program.
  • Kaleb (Year 12) High Honors Award, with a $1,250 scholarship.
  • Isabella (Year 12) High Honors Award, with a $1,250 scholarship.

  • Nozomi (Year 10) Rising Scholars Award, with a $500 scholarship.
  • Leanna Aimee (Year 12) Honourable Mention, with a $1,500 scholarship.

The Lumiere Research Scholar Program allows students to work one-to-one with a PhD mentor from a leading research university, such as Harvard, Stanford or Oxford. Students also receive individual support from a writing coach, guidance from a publication strategist for publication programmes, and oversight from a dedicated programme manager.

Through the programme, students work towards producing a college-level research paper, receive a letter of recommendation from their mentor, and may have the opportunity to publish their work in journals, enter competitions, or earn academic credits from UCSD.

Very well done to all of these students on this excellent achievement.

Warm regards,

Mark Attwood

Head of Senior School
