Sports and Spirit Day & MJS Cultural Exchange
Dear Families,
It’s been another eventful and fast-paced week as we head into the half-term break. And what better way to end the week than with our Annual Sports and Spirit Day. Our incredible PE, Health, and Well-Being Team delivered a truly memorable event for our students who took full advantage of the host of activities throughout the day. Students across Senior School supported one another and displayed a plethora of character strengths in doing so.
MJS Cultural Exchange
The Year 9 students recently visited Manila Japanese School just across the road for their annual cultural exchange event. Through this partnership between our schools, our students have made amazing connections and learned about different cultures and traditions. The Year 9 students engaged in fun activities with the MJS students, including making Shiratama Dango, playing volleyball, running relay races, and even competing in a Japanese quiz together! Watching the students interact during these activities showcased our cultural similarities and differences, which allowed them to learn more about Japanese culture and character in a different environment. This memorable event has allowed our students to broaden their understanding of Japanese customs and reinforced the importance of embracing diversity and fostering meaningful connections with others. - Cara (Year 9)
Have a wonderful half-term break.
