Dear Families, There has been plenty happening in Senior School in the penultimate week of Term 2. We've had two successful rounds of SLCs for Years 8 and 9. As you know, the conferences are intended to be student-led, with insights from our teachers to facilitate learning conversations. I am grateful for the feedback from parent representatives, who shared that they sometimes need more time for clarifying questions and feedback from the teacher to ensure they understand exactly what their children need to do to improve. We will discuss how best we can address this with our teams for all future SLCs. Thank you to all the parents who attended our latest workshop on Wednesday morning. After discussing the concept of building resilience previously, our amazing counsellors shared tools parents can utilise to build a resilience-fostering environment at home.
Yesterday, our U13 athletes flew to Thailand to represent the school at the FOBISIA Games. 35 students from Years 7 and 8 will compete in a series of individual and team events. They have trained hard and bonded as a team and we wish them all the very best.
