Dear Families,
We enjoyed our latest round of Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) this week, with Year 7 taking centre stage.
For those who were part of BSM before 2020, you may remember our previous in-person model held in the main hall. Since 2020, we have transitioned to an online-only format, a decision that was strongly supported by our school community. Following consultation with parent representatives, a unanimous vote endorsed the use of the SchoolCloud platform. Feedback from both staff and families has reaffirmed its effectiveness, emphasising its role in strengthening home-school partnerships and supporting student success.
Since adopting the platform, attendance at SLCs in Key Stages 4-5 has increased by approximately 30%, while Key Stage 3 attendance remains consistently high at 80-85%. We appreciate your ongoing support in making these conferences a valuable experience for our students and families.
