Dear Families,
Our Activities Week adventures have been terrific this week. I am sure your child/ren will arrive home with many stories to tell and a big bag of laundry! Our Year 10 trip departs on Sunday, and we wish them a safe and exciting trip also.
Can I ask families who have yet to complete the feedback survey to take a few minutes to share your thoughts on the Senior School. We are very keen to know what families would like to see more of, less of, and some of.
I would also like to share the success of our physics team, Team Bakunawa, in the prestigious 2026 CERN Beamline for Schools competition. Out of 712 teams from 89 countries (4,500 students), our students achieved an outstanding double victory: Global Shortlisted Award: Top 7% of all teams worldwide. Top 15 Globally for Best Outreach: Recognising excellence in science communication.
Their incredible performance won them high-prestige prizes, including a portable particle detector and a telescope signed by Physics Nobel Prize Laureates!
Huge congratulations to our brilliant young scientists: Aniella Solenne (Year 12), Samantha Alexa (Year 11), Ava Madeleine (Year 12), Cara Myramay (Year 11), Dalisaï Lucie (Year 12), Sebastian David (Year 11), and Sungwon (Year 11, Captain). We are immensely proud of you for showcasing our school's talent on the global stage!
I look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday, 06 June, at Speech Day.
