Incredibly, the end of Term has arrived! I say incredibly because it seems not so long ago we were starting the school year together.
It has been an exceptional term in Primary School - not only was our exceptional provision recognised by CIS (report pending!) but we also have so many successes and events to celebrate.
Just this week, we had three important events...
The KS2 Christmas Singalong on Monday was lots of fun. Led by Mrs Johnstone, with every Year Group singing a song for everyone. There is so much joy to be found in singing together.
On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of the EYFS Christmas Performances. Seeing our youngest students dancing and singing together was so special and it struck me how much they have grown and developed this past few months since starting school. Congratulations to the EYFS team.
Also on Tuesday, we held the Year 4 Learning Exhibition. I am always exceptionally proud to see our students present their learning to parents and this exhibition was a Science showcase that highlighted to parents how we are able to both personalise and structure learning. The Year 4 team has clearly been doing an amazing job.
Behind the scenes in Primary School, we have been developing our work within Global Citizenship and, as part of this, Service Learning. It is Mr Pearson and Mr Hunt who lead this important work for Primary School.
An email will be sent to all Primary School parents about the start of Term 2 just before we return to school on Monday, 8 January.
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a happy new year when it arrives,
Mrs Katie Tomlinson
Head of Primary School
