Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Orphanage children visits Year 1, Year 3 Assembly, and pick-up reminders

Dear Parents,

Last Thursday, Year 1 students were visited by children from the Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Orphanage, their Service Learning partner. Thank you to Ms Sofia Cruz and Ms Sophie Wilson for arranging this. It was great to see the children returning and greeting each other as friends, remembering their last visit.

Just this morning, we were treated to a wonderful assembly with Year 3. I love our Primary School class assemblies, which give every student an opportunity to take to the stage and share their learning with parents. Along with our exhibitions and soft start in EYFS & Key Stage 1, these are great ways for parents to see the outcomes of learning firsthand.

Finally, a polite reminder that next week, there are no ASAs, and this means that Primary School students need to be picked up at the end of the school day promptly. When they are not picked up, this can cause them distress and also means that they need to wait in the very small Primary School Office where they can be supervised.

Please also note that, in order to minimise foot and vehicle traffic for the whole school and decrease stress for our younger students, Year 1 operates a slightly earlier pick-up time and finishes at 02.00pm in the final week of term when there are no ASAs.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend,

Mrs Katie Tomlinson
