Leaving and incoming Primary School Staff
Dear Parents,
As with all schools, but particularly in international settings, we bid farewell to valued staff members at the end of each academic year as they embark on new adventures. BSM has a reputation in Asia for retaining staff for more than the average contract tenure. Let’s not forget that our longest-serving staff have been here for over 20 years and we have two who have been here for 30 years!
This year, we say goodbye to five wonderful Primary School teachers: Ms Janet Johnston, Ms Emma Wheeler, Mr Michael Redfern, Mr Jon Stringer and Ms Jenny Moriarty, who will be leaving us at the end of Term 3.
While we are always sad to see great colleagues move on, we are grateful for their contributions and the lasting impact they have made on our community. We wish them all the best in their next chapters and look forward to welcoming our new staff when they arrive in August - an opportunity for new relationships and fresh perspectives.
As Mr van der Linde has mentioned in his message, announcements about incoming staff will be released through Lion’s Roar over the coming weeks. Further into Term 3, we will make further announcements also about any staffing changes within and across Year Groups.
Wishing you a peaceful half-term break,
Mrs Katie Tomlinson
Head of Primary School
