Christmas celebrations in Primary School

Christmas celebrations in Primary School

Dear Parents,

There is much to be grateful for as we enter the Christmas holidays and finish Term 1 of the academic year - so many things I could mention and give thanks for (the Christmas Concert, the KS2 Christmas Singalong, the show box appeal…), but I have chosen three things to especially highlight:

  • The PTA Christmas Shop, which ran last week. Thank you to our amazing PTA and the wonderful Mr Jigs from our Operations Department for creating the shop and bringing the joy of Christmas to our Primary School students. It was so lovely to hear how the students had thought about those at home who help them and chose a gift just for them.

  • The EYFS and KS1 Christmas Shows. It takes such a lot of planning, energy, and time to create these events, which enable our students to create memories and share them with their families. Thank you to all our staff teams for making these a huge success.

  • The Christmas decorations and parties. Thank you to parents for making our shared spaces look festive and for ensuring the food donations were organised for the parties. Doing this means staff can concentrate on their role, and the wider aspects are still done well. Parents at BSM are awesome, and this does not go unnoticed. Thank you!

As we enter the holiday, I hope you all have a peaceful time with family and friends. As always, there will be an update email from the Primary School office immediately before our return in January. I look forward to seeing you and all your lovely children back on campus in 2026.

Warm regards,

Mrs Katie Tomlinson
