Dear Parents,
There is still so much going on in Primary School life even as we approach the final days of the school year. On Tuesday, we waved off to 40 of our Year 5 and Year 6 students as they left for the U11 FOBISIA Primary Games in Thailand. Thank you to Mr Gareth Pearson and his team for planning this trip so well and ensuring the positive team spirit felt by all as they left. We will update everyone on their anticipated successes in the Whole School Assembly at the end of the term.
On Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the Nursery ‘play-date’ exhibition. It was a joy to see how the Nursery students have grown in confidence since the beginning of the year. They set off for their day trip this morning with such big smiles on their faces. Thank you to our dedicated Nursery team for making the first year at BSM so wonderful for these students and their families.
Also this week, Year 4 put on a wonderful showcase of learning with their exhibition. Thank you to Mr Stringer and the Year 4 staff for supporting the students in delivering this. Thank you also to the Year 4 parents for taking the time to come to the event. For your children, this is so important.
Ms Laura and Ms Utari, along with Mr Bautista and Mr Sherrington, have done a great job of ensuring that each piece of selected artwork is displayed so beautifully for the Primary Exhibition. I have enjoyed watching the students come to show their adults from home their work and look for the work of their friends and classmates. If you have not yet had the time to come and have a look at the Primary Art Exhibition, it is open for viewing each day until the last day of term. Last week, we shared with parents the leaving teachers, Year Group deployment and new teacher details.

The Nursery trip today is NOT the final trip - the Year 1 next week is! The final trip of the year will be the Year 1 trip to Holy Carabao on the 14 June.
This week, we are sharing with you important information about Support Staff changes.
Next year, we will be wishing a fond farewell to Ms Colleen Cordero (Year 1 PLA), Mr Kris Asis (Year 2 LSA), and Ms Alex Moersheim (Reception PLA). Ms Colleen will begin new adventures in Canada. Mr Asis, after 17 years at BSM, will be leaving us for a new position in Texas, and Ms Alex is relocating to Boracay with her husband. We are so proud of the ambitions, growth, and impact of these staff and wish them all the best for the future.
We have recruited replacements for all these positions and will share more details with you in the next academic year. I am sure that parents will be pleased to know that one of our recruits is the wonderful Ms Jaci Yatco who is returning to us after a year of teaching in Spain.
We are also pleased and proud to announce that Ms Nicki Relampagos will be moving into the position of Cover Supervisor since she has now completed her iPGCE. Ms Nicki will join Ms Mel Barnes and Ms Sehr Emaad as one of our regular Cover Supervisors. Congratulations, Ms Nicki!

Should for any reason the scheme not go ahead then all payments will be refunded. If for any reason a student misses a day/s, there cannot be a refund as all payments go towards resources and staffing costs overall for the scheme.
We are currently planning and staffing the scheme. Please note the scheme is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. The scheme filled up very quickly last year. The poster and video on each of the Primary School communication hubs gives an idea of the types of activities the children will experience.
