Parent feedback survey update and Class lists for SY 2026-2027

Dear Parents and Families,

Parent Survey

Thank you to those of you who have already completed the parent end-of-year survey.  It is important that we get as many responses as possible. So far, we only have 36 responses. We have 487 children enrolled in Primary School. We are grateful for the responses so far, which are balanced and informative; celebrating what has gone well and carefully sharing how things might be developed. Deadline for completion is on Monday, 08 June at 04.00pm. This survey is not fully anonymous, as emails are linked to responses. However, it will only be shared in summary form with the wider primary leadership team and teaching teams. Only myself has access to the full responses.

Please also remember to complete the Whole School survey (through Edurio), which relates to all aspects and is broader in its capture. Mr Van shared this in his recent Lion’s Roar message. That survey is externally managed, gives us a benchmark against other schools and is completely anonymous.

Class lists for SY 2026-2027

The class lists for next year will be shared with you today via your FAM email. These will be shared as Groups A, B, and C, so that you can see which group your child has been placed in.

We have not shared this information directly with the children, as we believe it is best for them to hear this news when they are at home with their parents.

Please be assured that these class groups have been created with great care and attention. Each child has been placed with at least one of their identified friends. Teachers have spent considerable time using all the information available to them to place children thoughtfully, with the aim of ensuring that every child has the opportunity to flourish.

Once the groups have been published to parents, we are not able to make adjustments except in exceptional circumstances. This is because moving one child is likely to have consequences for others in the group, creating ripples of change across the year group.

The allocation of teachers to each group will be shared on Monday, 08 June, in readiness for the transition day on Tuesday.

Warm regards,

Mrs Katie Tomlinson
