A positive reflection on the past and commitment to a collaborative future for our BSM community

A positive reflection on the past and commitment to a collaborative future for our BSM community

Dear BSM Family,

I am proud to announce that BSM has been honoured with an award by DePEd (Department of Education) Taguig-Pateros for its unwavering support and valuable contribution as one of the Education Partners in the successful implementation of the Adopt-a-School Program (ASP) and Brigada Eskwela 2024 of the Department of Education.

My thanks and congratulations to everyone involved in supporting such initiatives as part of our commitment to service and to engagement with our broader communities.

You are no doubt aware of our compelling purpose to provide an outstanding holistic British international education, empowering students to flourish as global citizens with the skills, understanding and values, to make a positive contribution to our world.

Our recent Fun Run on Sunday brought over 450 people together for Sunday morning cheer and community and the various student-led stalls raising funds for various Service & Sustainability initiatives were very impressive. Thank you to everyone involved for making the annual Fun Run the great success that it was.

It is truly inspiring to witness not only our students but also our staff and parents actively engaging in Service & Sustainability initiatives. The collective dedication to making a meaningful and lasting contribution, both within and beyond the walls of BSM, fills me with hope and optimism. In a world that often feels as though it is straying from the path of positive progress, mutual understanding, and collaboration, the commitment of our community reassures me that positive change is not only possible but achievable. This shared sense of purpose reinforces our belief in the power of education, service, and sustainability as forces for good, and it reminds us that together, we can continue to impact the world in ways that promote a brighter, more compassionate future for all.

Looking ahead to the weekend, for the All Saints' and All Souls' Days weekend, many Filipino families across the country will take time to honour the memory of loved ones and celebrate the enduring spirit of those who have gone before us. To all celebrating these important days in our Philippines national calendar, may this weekend bring peace, reflection, and unity to all as the legacy of those who came before inspires us to live with compassion, faith, and gratitude, carrying their spirit in our hearts always.

With that vision of a positive reflection on the past and commitment to a collaborative future for our BSM community, I wish you and your family a wonderful weekend.

Warm regards,

Martin van der Linde

Announcement of Kitty Funds

We have been asked and will support the request from Parents Reps to collect annual class kitty funds. These are used at the discretion of PRs for various parent-led initiatives and gifts. This nominal annual fee of P1,000.00 will be added to Term 2 fee invoices. PRs from each year group will keep a running record of expenditures against the kitties.

Notice of Withdrawal

Dear Parents,

With Christmas Break and the start of another exciting year on the horizon, we are also aware some families may be starting to make plans to move on. If you intend to leave before Term 3, we ask you to complete the Notice of Withdrawal Form on or before Friday, 06 December 2024.

As places at BSM are in high demand, this allows us to plan for changes in classes and ensures you are not charged. As a reminder, if we do not receive a notice of withdrawal, the school will charge full fees for Term 3.

Thank you.
