Thank you to our leaving staff and we look forward to welcoming the new members of our BSM Community

Dear BSM Family,

As with any international school, there is some natural movement each year. While we are sorry to see valued colleagues move on, we recognise that these transitions often reflect important personal and professional milestones, whether for family, career or new opportunities elsewhere. Many of those leaving have made significant and lasting contributions to the life of our school.

To Marie Del Mundo, Thea Williams, Sam Puzey, Kevin Nielsen, Michael Guinness, Rebecca Stanlake, Dan Turcotte, Liza Dey and Marie Hopper, we extend our sincere thanks to you and wish you every success in the next chapter of your journey. There will be opportunities for formal goodbyes later, but please remember that you will always be part of our BSM family.

As we look to the future, we are, as always, committed to maintaining the excellence our departing staff helped cultivate, while embracing the growth that comes with new talent. In that spirit, we are pleased to announce our new teachers who will bring fresh perspectives to BSM.  Our recruitment process remains rigorous, ensuring strong alignment with our values and commitment to quality education, and we look forward to the contributions our new colleagues will make as they become part of the BSM community.

As our curriculum offering has developed and expanded, we have two new roles starting from next school year. We have an additional practitioner in our Technology Department. We also formalised a full-time role for Outdoor Education, and I am delighted to announce that Mr Rich Hunt has been appointed to that new, exciting role.

Please see the profiles of all new teachers here.

Today was the final official school day for our Year 13s, and I wish them all the very best for their upcoming finals.

Wishing them, and of course our iGCSE students, a successful weekend of exam prep.

Parent Workshops

‘Nutrition Parent Workshop for Family Helpers, Yayas, Cooks and Drivers (repeat from January)’, Wednesday, 29 April 2026, 08.00-09.00am, Senior FoodiE Bistro

Following the success of our recent session in January for family helpers, yayas, cooks and drivers last January, BSM will host a repeat of the Nutrition Workshop led by Harvie De Baron of the Baron Method.

This session is designed especially for family helpers, yayas, cooks and drivers,  and will cover the same practical nutrition guidance in a hands-on, accessible way. Participants will learn simple tips to support healthy eating at home—from checking ingredient labels and preparing balanced meals, to making small adjustments that suit each child’s individual needs.

The workshop aims to empower those who help prepare family meals with the knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices that benefit the whole household.

Please register here on or before Tuesday, 28 April, if you would like your Family Helpers, Yayas, Cooks and Drivers to attend this Nutrition Workshop.

‘College Spotlight Parent Workshop #3: Shaping the Path: A Collaborative Workshop on our College Framework’, Wednesday, 06 May 2026, 08.00-09.00am, LRC Level 2, Screen Space

We are redefining what college counselling looks like at BSM, and we want you in the room for the next phase. We have developed a framework centred on four key pillars—Discover, Develop, Define, and Decide—designed to align with international best practices. However, a framework is only as strong as the partnership behind it. Join us for a collaborative session where we share our vision and ask for your input on how we can best reflect the values and realities of our families within our 4-year plan. Help us ensure that the transition from Year 10 to Year 13 is as clear, supportive, and intentional as possible.

Register HERE.
