We continue to flourish as a community

We continue to flourish as a community

Dear BSM Family,

Each Friday on this platform, I am spoiled for wonderful happenings and events to reflect on and celebrate. Between FOBISIA U15 Games and BSM Sports (this weekend - Football finals, Basketball, and Swimming!) MAD Week Preparation Assembly, Year 9 Science Fair, Head’s Tea, and Parent Workshops amongst so many others, this has been another vibrant week! We also hosted an expert on Safeguarding who presented three days of various learning workshops for staff as well as a session for governors.

Term 1 Head's Tea

Whilst I am reluctant to identify any single experience over so many wonderful others, this past week saw the staging of Something Rotten! Jr., our Senior production and I was blown away by the standard and incredible talent on show. I am pleased to share with you the letter I sent to the Director (Mr Hannon), Cast and Crew of Something Rotten! Jr.

Dear All,

Sadly, I leave today for a conference. Had that not been the case, I would be back for today’s performance. Without question!

For both my wife and I, you achieved the highest levels of stage performance - you entertained, you made us feel, truly feel, we could not stop talking about the show, we felt the reality of every character, we did not want it to end!

Bravo! Thank you.

Something Rotten! Jr. has touched us deeply.

As a community we continue to flourish. With the festive season now upon us, there is no better example of this than the wonderful parols that our students, parents, and staff have designed as part of the 🌟BSM Lantern Design House Competition. They are currently on display outside the Lion's Den School Shop on Level 1 and I invite you to come see them for yourself!

Warm regards,

Martin van der Linde
