Dear BSM Family,
Last Saturday, we gathered as a community to celebrate one of the most significant moments in the life of BSM: the graduation of the Class of 2026.
It was a wonderful afternoon of pride, gratitude, joy and reflection. Graduation is always more than a ceremony. It marks the culmination of years of learning, growth, friendship, challenge and achievement. It is also a moment of transition, not only for our graduates, but for their families, teachers and the wider BSM community who have walked alongside them.
The ceremony itself was a fitting tribute to an impressive group of young people. As they crossed the stage, we saw not only academic accomplishment but character, resilience, humour, kindness, and the quiet confidence that comes from having grown within a community that knows and values them.

The reception that followed was equally special. It gave families, students, staff, BSM Governors and friends the opportunity to pause, connect, and celebrate together. These moments matter. They remind us that schools are deeply human places, shaped not only by lessons and examinations, but by relationships, shared memories and the sense of belonging that endures long after students leave.
At this time of year, schools carry a particular mix of emotions. There is celebration and anticipation, but also the quiet awareness that important chapters are beginning to close. International schools understand this rhythm especially well. People arrive, belong, contribute, grow, and eventually move on. Yet the relationships formed here endure. These connections are what give a school its heart.
Over recent weeks, we have reflected on stewardship: the responsibility we share to care for this community and leave it stronger, kinder and more connected than we found it. Graduation is one of the clearest reminders of that responsibility. Education is never only about results, university destinations or final examinations. It is about helping young people develop the confidence, character and values they will carry into the world. It is about preparing them to think clearly, act with integrity, show respect, and lead with kindness.
As we approach the final two weeks of the school year, our focus remains on ensuring that every member of our community feels valued, supported, and connected, so that this year concludes with purpose and the next begins with energy, optimism and hope.
My sincere thanks go to everyone who made Saturday’s Graduation Ceremony and reception such a memorable occasion: our teachers, Support Staff, Senior School leaders, Events and Operations teams, Governors, families and, of course, our wonderful graduating students.
To the Class of 2026: congratulations. You have given much to BSM, and you will always remain part of our story.

Community Governor Announcement
On behalf of the Chairman of the Board of Governors, we are pleased to announce the Parent Rep nominated Community Governors for the next two-year term.
Dr Thea Gimenez - Community Governor for Primary School
Dr Thea Gimenez has been nominated for another two-year term as Community School Governor for Primary School. Having been the link between the school and the community for the past two years, Dr Gimenez remains dedicated to fostering collaboration.
“As a Primary School Community Governor, I am proud to act as a bridge between the parent community and the leadership team. My goal is to help improve the overall school experience and ensure that all perspectives are heard.”
Mrs Devi Manjani - Community Governor for Senior School
In Senior School, Mrs Devi Manjani has been nominated as a Community School Governor for Senior School. Apart from being an active parent in the community, Mrs Manjani has also played a crucial role in the past.
“Having previously served as Community Governor for Primary School, I am grateful to now have this opportunity as Community Governor for Senior School. I look forward to continuing to support our BSM community and to seeing our students flourish.”
A huge thanks to Mrs Nina Golmaco, who is stepping down after completing her two terms as Senior Community Governor. We are fortunate to have such enthusiastic and committed parents amongst our community.
School Bus Service Updates for SY 2026–2027
In line with our commitment to providing an efficient and improved school bus service, Philkor Dynamics Solution is offering the following services starting School Year 2026-2027:
- An additional bus unit for the Ayala Alabang route to better serve families residing in the area.
- Bus unit/s to support students participating in the 2nd batch of After-School Activities, departing BSM at 05.00pm, provided that there are sufficient interested bus riders.
- A 5% sibling discount from the second child onwards, for families with more than one registered bus rider.
With the Metro Manila Subway project set to begin construction in BGC this October, road closures and heavier traffic are expected in the area. The school bus offers a practical and more sustainable alternative, minimising traffic and contributing to faster travel times through the affected areas.
Cafeteria
We are delighted to announce that Rekado Global Food Solutions is our new cafeteria service provider starting SY 2026-2027.
A comprehensive bidding process, led by our COO, Ms Maita Borromeo, was conducted by the Cafeteria Bidding Committee, composed of representatives from the Senior Student Leadership Team, teachers across Primary and Senior Schools, support staff, Community Governor, and parent representatives.
Rekado Global Food Solutions was selected for its ability to deliver a variety of balanced, nutritious and high-quality food offerings, including gluten-free and vegetarian options provided daily at reasonable pricing. Students and staff will also benefit from convenient grab-and-go selections, as well as specially designed menus for our student athletes. With a dedicated Innovations Team, Chef and a nutritionist assigned in BSM, they can ensure continuous menu development and health-focused meal planning.
Beyond their menu offerings, Rekado Global Food Solutions brings a hands-on, responsive approach to service and operations, expressing flexibility in adjusting operating hours to support After-School Activities and morning training sessions. They also showed a strong commitment to sustainability, aligning their practices with three UN Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-being, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Sustainable Cities and Communities.
ID Card/FoodiE Wallet Balances
We encourage all students and parents to use up any remaining balances on their ID cards or FoodiE wallets. Please be reminded that top-ups are no longer accepted as of Monday, 01 June.
