Annual Report SY 2024-2025, recognition from DepEd and looking forward to more exciting BSM activities

Dear BSM Family,

I am very pleased to advise that our Annual Report for SY 2024-2025 is now available online. As you read it, I hope you’ll share my pride in a defining year, marked by outstanding academic outcomes and university placements, vibrant success in sport and the arts, and meaningful impact through Service Learning and Sustainability.

While we look back at last year, we’re fully into the swing of this year, and we’re especially pleased and humbled that to be honoured with a Department of Education (DepEd) award in the recent DepEd’s Regional Partners’ Appreciation Program in recognition of our contributions to training public school teachers through the Education Outreach Conference, our BSM Taguig Scholarship Programme (BSMTSP), as well as our various donations to DepEd.

We have also been in partnership with the Department of Energy (DOE) and are ready to launch our energy-saving initiatives video series for the DOE, introducing superhero Energy-Winston. These two collaborations reflect our commitment to broader community goals and embracing initiatives that benefit not only BSM but other partners too.

Our teaching and learning spaces, as always, are incredibly engaging, and to share a Nursery swimming lesson with our great swim coaches and then witness students sharing their learning with their parents at the Year 3 Exhibition was truly heart-warming. Then, my morning just got better as I was honoured to have visitors from Early Years come to my office to share their fabulous banana harvest. To be part of our incredible learning community is incredibly special.

Speaking of community, our next community event is the much-anticipated annual Fun Run on Sunday, 26 October. Please sign up for what promises to be a fun morning out for the family.

In the meantime, enjoy another busy BSM weekend with our Bonifacio Cup Swimming Gala in our BSM Swimming Pool, friendly basketball matches, drama rehearsals, and our BSM Sports: Rugby Festival on Sunday.

Warm regards,

Martin van der Linde

Parent Workshops

'Nutrition Parent Workshop with Harvie de Baron', Wednesday, 08 October, 08.00am-09.00am, LRC Level 2, Screen Space

Discover how the food choices we make every day directly influence our children’s health, well-being, and academic performance. This presentation from Harvie De Baron of the Baron Method will reveal eye-opening research on how added sugars, artificial colours, and processed foods affect focus, memory, and mood, while also highlighting the powerful role of whole, nutrient-rich foods in boosting immunity, energy, and learning. Parents will take away practical strategies - such as simple swaps for pantry staples, breakfast habits that sharpen thinking, and family-friendly tips for introducing healthier alternatives - that can transform mealtimes into opportunities for long-term wellness. This engaging session promises to equip you with the knowledge and tools to nurture stronger bodies, sharper minds, and happier children through the healing power of food.

Please register here on or before Tuesday, 07 October if you would like to attend this Parent Workshop.
