Notes

1. Tuition Fees
Term Fees are billed and paid termly. There are (3) terms in one school year.
Both Currencies (GBP and PESO) are to be settled.
The GBP portion of your Tuition Fees should be paid in GBP as this allows us to keep currency conversion costs as low as possible. The school will also accept payment of the GBP portion in USD, Euros or PHP based on the school exchange rate which includes a mark-up to cover exchange rate costs. Parents are therefore encouraged to purchase GBP from their Banks. Updated school exchange rates can be found on the school web site at http://www.britishschoolmanila.org/web/about_fees.htm
The full tuition fee is required to be settled, irrespective of the length of time the child will spend in school during a given term.
Fees are not billed on a pro-rata basis. However, any child admitted after the half term break will be charged for the remaining weeks of the term.

2. Entrance Fee
A one time entrance fee per child will be charged upon your confirmation accepting the place being offered. Payment of this fee guarantees your child a place at the school. Entrance fee is charged to all levels, except Nursery, in which case, it becomes payable upon the child’s entry into the Reception level.

3. Application Fee
An application fee is payable upon submission of Admission requirements.

4. Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Membership Fee Yearbook
The PTA membership and Yearbook are charged yearly per family. Each family then becomes a Parent Member of The British School Parent Teacher Association.

5. Nursery Deposit
This is equivalent to ½ term fees, is billed upon acceptance of the child.
This is refundable when the child withdraws from BSM. However, if the child did not enter Nursery, notification of non-attendance should be made with the Admissions office on or before 13th June 2008.
If the child enters Reception in the succeeding school year, the refundable deposit may be applied for the first term of attendance in Reception.

6. Funding Instrument Options (Applicable for Reception to Year 13)
Capital Development Fee
- Paid annually. For those pupils entering Term 3, only 1/3 CDF is required to be paid
- Tuition Fees (A) and Other School Fees (B) are to be paid

If fees remain unpaid three weeks after due date, a suspension notice will be issued.

10. Withdrawal from School
The school requires notice in writing to the Head of School if you intend to withdraw your child. This must be one month prior to the end of the final term of attendance of the child. Failure to comply with these requirements will entitle the School to payment in full of the fees for the following term in respect of each child to be withdrawn.
Deadline for Submission of the Notice of Withdrawal:
If you intend to leave before Term 2 12 November 2008
If you intend to leave before Term 3 03 March 2009
If you do not intend to enroll In Sept 2009 26 May 2009
An application for the refund of fees (if applicable as in the case of PPTCF and SED holders) should be obtained and submitted to the School’s Finance Department after submission of the withdrawal letter to the Head of School. The amount of the refund will only be released after the clearance procedure has been undertaken.
Irrespective of whether or not a company pays the fees on behalf of each child, the school holds the parents accountable for meeting the above terms and fees.
