As one of the most performed plays of the twentieth century, Bouncers is set in and around a northern nightclub called Mr Cinders, with the action focusing on the exploits of the four doormen and their customers. “Your heart dances. The world seems strange and new. You want to laugh and skip and fall forever… You are in love. You are in love with the wrong person.”

Noel Coward’s “Brief Encounter” is remembered as one of the most haunting love stories ever. With the characteristic wit and visual spectacle of Kneehigh Theatre’s Emma Rice, the joy and heartache of this timeless story is brought to the stage.

Brokenville by Philip Ridley
(KS4 Year 11 IGCSE Theatre Production)
22-23 September 2016

“Stories are for joining the past to the future. Stories are for those late hours in the night when you can't remember how you got from where you were to where you are. Stories are for eternity, when memory is erased, when there is nothing to remember except the story.” ― Tim O'Brien, The Things They Carried

Brokenville features an unknown disaster, which has left seven characters with little knowledge of who they are or of what has happened. As an old woman and five teenagers begin to act out stories for a mute and frightened child, they begin to discover a little of who they were and what they can be.

Grease - Book, Music & Lyrics by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey

(Years 7-13 Senior School Production)
17-19 November 2016 | Senior School Assembly Hall

Ok folks… Throw your mittens around your kittens and hand jive the night away with the show that’ll make you want to stand up and shout, ‘A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop, a-wop-bam-boom!’

It’s 1959, and Rydell High School’s senior class is in rare form. The too-cool-for-school “T-Birds” are stealing hubcaps and acting tough and their gum-snapping, sassy “Pink Ladies” are looking hot in bobby sox and pedal pushers. The 1950s high school dream is about to explode in this rollicking musical that is both an homage to the idealism of the fifties and a satire of high schoolers’ age-old desire to be rebellious, provocative and rebellious. At the heart of the story is the romance between head “Greaser” Danny Zuko and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski. They had a secret romance in summer, but now back in the context of school, peer-pressure and cliques make their love a bit more complicated. Can Danny maintain his cool dude status and still get make demure Sandy his girl?

It’s the original high-school musical, featuring all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin’ and many more.
