The Primary Music programme follows the English National Curriculum and is taught largely using the Orff methodology, which is focused on instrumental performance and composition. Xylophone and keyboard ensembles provide children with a foundation in reading music. A love of singing, in unison and harmony, is further developed through weekly year group vocal classes. Classroom music encourages children to continually reflect on their learning, whilst working collaboratively and creatively. Learning Power skills are continually developed in the music curriculum through practical and ICT based music activities.
