At the British School Manila, the English National Curriculum is followed. This develops and enhances children’s skills in a vast range of areas through the mediums of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Through their study of English, in both stand-alone lessons and cross curricular activities, children are inspired through a number of creative outlets including: drama, individual and group reading and writing in a variety of genres and performance of understanding. Learning Power skills are integrated within lessons; self-confidence is built, enabling students to express themselves imaginatively both independently and collaboratively, inside and outside of the classroom. They are always refining and practising their communication skills preparing them for life outside of school.
