The Primary Art programme is adapted from the English National Curriculum and facilitates both imagination and creativity. It provides visual, tactile and sensory experiences, allowing students to express themselves as well as to understand and respond to the world. Students apply and combine the elements and principles of art and design using a range of mediums and techniques, thus learning to make informed value judgments and aesthetic and practical decisions. Students apply processes to their artwork independently and collaboratively and reflect and evaluate their own work as well as the works of others. Teaching includes 'investigating and making', 'exploring and developing ideas' and 'evaluating and developing work' through 'knowledge and understanding'.
