Glenn Hardy
Head of Primary School
In the Primary school we welcome your child into a happy and stimulating environment in which they will be inspired to learn.

Through getting to know each individual child as they become part of our community, we ensure they are ready for the next steps on their learning journey. We empower our students to consistently reflect on and drive their own learning; we encourage your child to be questioning, independent and to develop high quality communication skills. We highly value and promote the development of collaborative and creative skills in your child through our class based and co-curricular programmes. We will provide your children with a safe, nurturing environment where they can grasp opportunities to develop key learning skills and are inspired to be life-long learners.

The Primary curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum, for English, Mathematics and Science and we integrate Information Communication Technology (ICT) into all that we do. Our children follow inquiry-based units focused on; looking after the environment; internationalism; design technology; entrepreneurial understanding; and a reflection on the past. Each year your child will take part in a community project as we aim to prepare them for life as responsible global citizens and foster the desire to contribute to their local communities. In addition, we place a strong emphasis on sport and the arts, with specialist teachers in these areas, a comprehensive co-curricular programme that offers additional opportunities to develop creativity and collaboration and our residential programme that fosters resilience, independence, leadership and social skills.
