Learning requires us to make connections. Einstein’s brain was no bigger than average, he just maximised its potential by having more connections than the rest of us. Making connections requires imagination, as do most memory techniques. Creative people are able to solve problems. They are more open to new ideas. Finally, creative people are prepared to take risks with their learning and in doing so find ‘short cuts’ to higher levels of understanding.
