At the end of each academic year students’ involved in representative sport will be recognised through the receipt of the following:

Recognition of Representing BSM in School Sport
This is a certificate given to all students that have represented BSM in one or more sports. All students invited to the Sports Celebration Evening will receive a personalised certificate listing their representative sports. 
 
Most Improved Player/Performer of the Year
This award is decided by each team coach. It will be awarded to one individual per team to reward a desire and willingness to improve both performance and attitude over the course of the school year. This award will be presented in the Sports Celebration Evening.
 
Player/Performer of the Year
This award is decided by each team coach. It will be awarded to one individual per team to reward high standards in terms of attitude, commitment and performance.This award will be presented in the Sports Celebration Evening.
 
ISAC All Star Award
Awarded by the coach of each ISAC team, All-Star teams are announce at the gala dinner of each ISAC tournament. Number selected depends upon the position the BSM team finished within the tournament. For example the team finishing 1st is allowed more All Star Team votes as the team finishing 7th. These will be repeated at the Sports Celebration Evening.
 
Sports Personality of the Year - Students Choice
Students presenting a positive attitude and a high level of performance when representing the school in sport will be shortlisted by other students and the PE department. All representative students will then be given the opportunity to vote for a winner on the lead up to the Sports Celebration Evening. There are 3 age categories Primary (Y4-Y6)/ Lower Senior (Y7-Y9) and Upper Senior (Y10-Y13). This award will be presented in the Sports Celebration Evening to the male and female students with the most votes in each category. 
 
Hall of Fame
To be inducted into the 'Hall of Fame' secures a place in BSM history and is an honour reserved for those students/ teams of students consistently meeting exceptionally high standards in terms of attitude, commitment and performance when representing the school in sport. This award may be awarded to a team or individual, will be presented in the Sports Celebration Evening and is geared towards our most senior students.
 
All other PE related awards will be presented on 'Speech Day' at the end of the school year. These include:
  • Achievement Awards for Y6/Y7/Y8/Y9/Y10/Y11
  • The Kukla Cup (for improvement in Swimming)
  • The Brendan Whyte Award (for sportspersonship and effort in key stage 2)
  • The Don Jones Cup (for sportspersonship and effort in senior school)
  • Sporting Colours (for students representing the school at an exceptional level in terms of performance attitude and commitment in one sport or at a very high level in several sports, in most cases this will mean the student must have at least represented the school in excellence level sport, for example FOBISIA/ ISAC).
