Announcements from the Head of School

  • The free bus service to the satellite drop-off points (San Antonio Parish, Holy Trinity Church, 25th Street between 9th and 11th Avenues Fort Bonifacio) will continue to the 2010-11 school year.  This is a complimentary one way service from school to the drop-off points.  The buses will be parked on Level 1 and will leave promptly at 2.30pm.  I urge families, especially those living in Dasmariñas, South and North Forbes, Makati and Fort Bonifacio, to sign up for this service which will be quicker and more environmentally friendly than a pick up from school. To sign up, please email Erwin Adevoso on eadevoso@britishschoolmanila.org

  • The GCSE results have now been published and are superb.  Our top 11 students gained over 110 A* and A grades between them, and the results overall are as good as the average of top U.K. independent Congratulations to the entire cohort on this success.

  • On 14th September, the senior school counseling team will lead a workshop for parents titles ‘Guiding Our Teenagers Through Adolescence’.  Further information will be distributed in the Lion’s Roar.

  • Some parents may be aware that we will be hosting the FOBISSEA Under 15 Games from 27th to 29th November 2010.  A total of eight member schools will be participating in the event including our own students.  The games will cover four distinct disciplines - athletics, swimming, football and basketball and will be participated by students aged between 11 and 15 years old.

We are currently looking for sponsors to raise funds which will be used to defray the costs of running the games. Should you be interested with our sponsorship packages, please contact the Head’s Office through
icalayan@britishschoolmanila.org. Your assistance of this event will be very much appreciated.

Please be advised of the following changes to traffic procedures:

  • Only cars collecting three or more students may use Level 1 between 2.00 and 3.00pm.  On some days when car-poolers are collecting only two students due to ASAs or one of them is away, please still use Level 1.  This applies to primary and senior students.  Please notify your driver of this change if applicable, and please car-pool where possible and convenient.

  • All other students will be collected either on Level 0 (primary) and Gate 5 (senior).  Where senior students have a sibling in primary, they will also be collected on Level 0.
