BSM Through The Years


Official opening of the school in the old Union Church with 36 students.



The British School Manila moves to Merville, Parañaque. Student population grows to 107 students.



The British School Manila hosts the first FOBISSEA (Federation of British International Schools in South East Asia) Sports and Cultural Event.



The British School Manila expands to offer Key Stage 3 of Senior School.



Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, visits The British School Manila.



The British School Manila Fort Bonifacio ground breaking ceremony.



Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, officially opens The British School Manila at Bonifacio Global City. Student population over 400.

Beginning of full Senior School.

Introduction of Nursery Class.



Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo with Chairman of The Board of Governors John Hawkins inaugurates the new Bonifacio Global City campus of The British School Manila.



The British School Manila is authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.

Alan Hearn has started his term with The British School Manila and has since then been the longest serving current member of the Board of Governors 




Opening of Cluster E (El Nido). Chairman of the Board of Governors Simon Bewlay is accompanied by His Excellency Ambassador Peter Beckingham and wife Jill during the ground breaking ceremony



The British School Manila becomes the first in the Philippines to be accredited by the Council of International School (CIS). Student population over 768 students with over 46 different nationalities.

The British School Manila celebrates its 30th anniversary at the Ambassador's residence.



Opening of Cluster F (Fiesta). Chairman of the Board of Governors Simon Bewlay is accompanied by His Excellency Ambassador Stephen Lillie.



The British School Manila Chairman awarded the M.B.E. in Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for his services to education in the Philippines.



Opening of the new Learning Resource Centre (LRC). Chairman of the Board of Governors Simon Bewlay is accompanied by His Excellency Ambassador Asif Anwar Ahmad.



Students, staff and parents were thrilled to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Anne who graciously unveiled a plaque commemorating new sports facilities and spent time meeting charities supported by the British School Manila on 19 March 2015.



His Excellency Ambassador Asif Anwar Ahmad graced the ground breaking event of the Visual and Performing Arts Building (VPA) along with COO Maita Borromeo, Council of Trustee Chairman Nigel Boud, Buildings and Maintenance Governor Alan Hearn, students, representative from Office of the Mayor of Taguig, Vice Chairman of the Council of Trustees Mat Kimberley and Head of School Simon Mann.
